Synonyms: Albuca aperta, Ornithogalum apertum, Ornithogalum concordianum.

This charming little bulb which grows over large parts of South Africa as well as southern Namibia is an easy species to cultivate.

It is a winter grower and flowers in spring with green striped yellow flowers coming from the side of the flower stalk.

The leaves usually curl better if given good light.
