The plants studied are orginally from Keurkloof Nature Reserve south of Oudtshoorn as well as plants from south of the Outeniqua Pass. The flower structure is about the same as the Oudtshoorn form of Brunsvigia striata but the plants are smaller. I shall rather keep the name Brunsvigia minor for now as the plants seem to be distinct from Brunsvigia striata which occurs widespread some 10 km and more to the north of this locality without known in between forms that I know of indicating a gradual change. At Keurkloof the flowers of Brunsvigia minor have a reddish pink colour with little variation, while the more robust Brunsvigia striata varies in colour with different shades of pink.
